The Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants is a membership body regulating the Accountancy profession in Zambia. The Institute is a self-regulated membership body for the Accountancy Profession in Zambia. It was established by Parliament, under the Accountants Act of 1982, repealed and continues to exist under the Accountants Act of 2008.
Its primary mandate is to regulate the Accountancy profession in Zambia, regulation of the Education and Training of Accountants, setting ethical, auditing and accounting standards and also making and investigating disclosures made in the public interest.
